Description
A 1-day STEP Maths Preparation Course for students sitting the CTMUA/TMUA or similar exams for entry to Cambridge, Durham, Warwick, or other universities. Takes place in July, at the start of the summer holidays.
If you have your sights set on a mathematics degree at a top university, you are likely to have to take an entrance exam such as TMUA. In this course, we will guide you through a selection of novel questions and past questions from older admissions tests, intended to be useful even for those who have seen all readily available past questions. You will have a chance to work through specially-selected questions in cooperation with some of your fellow applicants. A solution to each question will be presented succinctly and with full explanation by an expert tutor in order to demonstrate the quickest or surest technique and why it was chosen.

- Iterating and composing functions
- Using inequalities and estimates
- Managing higher order polynomials
- Sketching unfamiliar graphs
